Radio In The 1920's - Menu Page

This site concerns itself with the classic years of wireless design, and the golden years were the 1930's, (and to a lesser extent the 1940's and 1950's).  It was during the 1930's that the domestic radio was the focus of family entertainment, and as a result interesting and innovative cabinets were designed, and technological advances like pushbutton tuning and magic eyes were developed.  But it must be remembered that public broadcasting began in the 1920's, so it is appropriate to include a representative selection of equipment from that era.  Hence the buttons below link to a very brief description and picture.
